The New Mexico Fire Chiefs Association will host the 12th Annual New Mexico Fire Service Conference September 28 – October 1 in Albuquerque. The conference program is full of dynamic, timely workshops presented by nationally known speakers. There will also be valuable door prizes and an exhibit hall packed with fire service apparatus and equipment. A pre-conference golf tournament will be held on the spectacular UNM Championship Course on Tuesday, September 28th.
Presentation Highlights
Keynote Address: Protecting Your Own
Speaker: Chief Rich Graber, Upper Pine River Fire Protection District, Colorado Chief Graeber, a 34 year fire service veteran, has been a seasonal firefighter, a Fire Academy Supervisor and a Fire Chief. He is a senior advisor with the Far View Group and the principal of NRG Fire Consultants.
Workshop: “Managing the Mayday- The IC’s role”
Speaker: Captain Mike West, South Metro Colorado Fire Rescue Michael West has been a member of the fire service since 1982. Mike has written dozens of articles for fire service publications and websites and has contributed to several books as an author and technical advisor, Mike was awarded the 2006 Colorado Fire Trainer of the Year Award.
Workshop: What the Fire Service Can Learn from Corporate America
Speaker: Todd J. LeDuc, Director, Broward County, Florida Department of Fire and Rescue Overseeing a metro department of 600 personnel, Director LeDuc has more than 20 years in the profession and publishes and lectures frequently on fire rescue leadership topics. He has participated in strategic and master planning, accreditation and department evaluations in a dozen states.

Please be sure to make your reservations prior to the September 10, 2010, cut-off date. After September 10th, rooms will be on rate and availability basis.
